About VersionKeep

VersionKeep is version history for Windows. It keeps earlier versions of your files on a drive, a network folder or a server you choose, and brings them back from File Explorer.

It is in development and not available to download yet.

Who makes it

VersionKeep is made by Searle Street Technologies LLC.

What it is built on

VersionKeep stores your backups in the repository format of restic, free and open-source backup software by the restic authors, released under the BSD 2-Clause license. Because the format is restic's, the recovery key will let restic read your backups on any computer without VersionKeep.
